"Nick is one of my favorite authors. As he says, "Writing comedy is so hard, and it's so easy." As an author myself, I get it. I don't write comedy - but his statement is true of all literary genres. But when you love to write, you must. And Nick is one of the best. Keep 'em coming. I look forward to reading your work, Nick."

- Sometimes when I’m reading Nick Spalding and laughing so hard I’m crying, I suddenly realize all over again that he’s talking about real issues. And they are hard issues and sometimes scary, but while you’re thinking about these issues you’re also wiping away tears of laughter. Although this book takes a serious look at alcohol addiction, at one point I was laughing so hard I was afraid I was going to choke. So, don’t read alone. But read it immediately.
- I absolutely loved this book. I have read almost every book from Mr. Spalding on and enjoyed them all. I find that it is very seldom that the description of "hilarious" about a book is actually true, however this one hit the mark perfectly!
What made this particular book so outstanding is that both the story and the characters are so real they became your friends. The storyline is also much deeper than just a series of mishaps.
I have been an avid reader of anything and everything for more than 40 years......with that experience behind me I highly recommend this book to all ages. - This book is NOT heart-wrenching! It's not the funniest Nick Spalding book, but it certainly is not the cautionary tale that other reviewers made it out to be. Having read several of his books, I took a chance that this would be an enjoyable, light-hearted and funny read like the rest of his - and I was right.
- As I usually read at night I found myself burying my face in the pillow to stop laughing so hard, I was afraid it would wake my husband. Rarely does a book cause laughing out loud, unless the author is Nick Spaulding. Hoping he’s already busy at work on the next one!
- Nick is one of my favorite authors. As he says, "Writing comedy is so hard, and it's so easy." As an author myself, I get it. I don't write comedy - but his statement is true of all literary genres. But when you love to write, you must. And Nick is one of the best. Keep 'em coming. I look forward to reading your work, Nick.
- This book has a strong beginning (if you like cringe with your humour) and a strong ending.
It sagged for me a bit in the middle but works as a social commentary and a quick funny read. - I don't remember the last time I laughed out loud from a book. This one had multiple parts that literally had me doing this though. However, the alcohol abuse was a bit serious. In general, I really liked the book.
- I enjoyed this book, it was quite enjoyable. I've read quite a few by this author, Fat Chance is still my favorite, but this is a close second.
